Pajama Drive

The Great Bedtime Story - Pajama Drive
Dear Parents,
It’s time for the annual Scholastic Reading Club Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive
benefiting Pajama Program, a nonprofit organization that provides new pajamas
and books to children in need—especially those living in group homes, shelters,
foster care, and orphanages.  For every pair of pajamas that is donated through
the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive, Scholastic Book Club will donate a
brand-new book to Pajama Programs to give kids affected by instability a good
night -for a good day.

Since 2012, the BECC has collected and donated over 300 sets of pajamas.
Each year these pajamas and books are donated to Social Concern in Woburn.

Our class wants to be a part of this drive so that we can help make a better
bedtime for these children. Together we can help the Great Bedtime Story
Pajama Drive reach even more kids with pj’s and books.

If you and your child are able to participate, please have your child bring in a
new pair of pajamas to school by December 12, 2018   The Lucky Ducks
will be collecting the pajamas to be donated.

Here are some simple guidelines for the pajamas:
  • Pajamas must be brand-new.
  • Pajamas in all sizes are needed—from newborn to adult.
  • Pajamas must be in complete sets or nightgowns.

We are going to kick off this year’s pajama drive with an all school
Pajama day on November 20th.  Your child is welcome to wear his or
her pajamas to school. All children are encouraged to participate but
no one is required.

Thank you for helping us share the gift of a good night’s sleep and a
sweet bedtime story.
